Position Title: Accounts Payable Specialist

Location: City of Industry, CA (On-site)

Assignment Type: Direct Hire

Compensation: $30 - $32 / hr

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Benefits: This position is eligible for Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401(k).


Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join a stable and collaborative accounting team. This role is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable transactions while ensuring compliance with internal policies and accounting standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, bilingual in English and Spanish, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

This position will work closely with accounting leadership and internal departments to support daily AP operations and month-end close activities, while maintaining positive vendor relationships.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Review, verify, and process vendor invoices and check requests
  • Code, match, and enter invoices into the accounting system
  • Set up and process payments, including check runs and transfers
  • Process employee expense reports
  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions and assist with account analysis
  • Monitor AP aging to ensure timely and accurate payments
  • Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and vendor inquiries
  • Maintain vendor records and documentation
  • Assist with month-end close related to accounts payable
  • Provide occasional phone support and assist with additional accounting tasks as needed

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4+ years of accounts payable experience
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish required
  • Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and internal controls
  • Experience working with ERP or accounting systems (Sage or similar preferred)
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and within a team
  • Demonstrated job stability and commitment preferred
